Ruthven Pictures

At the moment we have only a few family photographs but here are two images that give some idea of this flesher family. The first is a very old one of Butcher Row in Dundee and the second is Cow Vennel in Perth as it is today. Both streets must have been very familiar to the Ruthvens of previous generations. In the 1901 Census, my great grandparents and grandfather were living in 3 Cow Vennel.

The first picture is Harry and Joan Ruthven's wedding picure taken at the Queen's Hotel, Perth in September, 1947. The other is a picture of Harry's sister Cissie (Susannah) Ruthven and her husband Alex Taylor.
