John Spink could have been the son of John Spink and Janet Swankie, born 1777 or James Spink and Wortley Beattie born 1788; 1777 seems more likely.
Margaret's death certificate gives her parents as David Spink and Jane Eaton but there's no record of this couple, I think she was the daughter of John Spink and Jane Eaton (although no record of a daughter called Margaret) and her birth is wrongly recorded as David Spink and Jane Eaton or the daughter of John Spink and Mary Eaton, who had a daughter called Margaret in 1807.
