Note

Lost at sea, run down by steamship Queen of Aberdeen. He was part owner of the boat with his cousin the skipper, also David Shepherd, both were on board with the skipper's sons, David and Joseph, and Robert Cargill. David Shepherd was the only person to die when the steamship cut the fishing boat in two.
